This is a Kit with everything included to make one Trellis that is 9 ft tall by 4 inches wide. Here's what's included: Heavy duty black mesh with UV protectant, 9 ft x 4 inches. Quality Hardware to withstand outside weather that won't corrode. Pre-drilled cedar brackets 4 inch by 2 inch by 2 inch. Installation instructions with images.
Scroll Trellises are easy to install with limited skills and common tools, the only tool needed is a power screw driver with a #2 Phillips bit (for standard Phillip head screw).
The recycled black plastic mesh is ideal for supporting climbing plants. It will support up to 50 lbs (see images) The mesh is UV protected, it won't heat up in the sun so it won't burn clematis, jasmine, passion vines, mandevilla and cathedral bells like iron or metal trellises may. The mesh can be shortened if needed, with scissors.
The mesh is mounted onto the downspout with brackets (natural western red cedar) which arrive cut-to-size with pre-drilled holes. The brackets allow healthy airflow to reach your plants. The self-drilling screws are zinc-plated to prevent corrosion. The self-drilling screws ensure the downspout function is not interfered with. The trellis mounting kit also includes stainless steel cable ties.
This tall trellis is mounted to a surface, it won't blow over due to the plant's weight or due to sandy soil. It won't rot like wood trellises and needs little maintenance except for removing spent vines at the end of the season.
