Thankful for our customers

As we approach Thanksgiving this week, I had to take a moment and look back at this year and reflect on all that I am thankful for. It's been another busy year and we have a lot to be thankful about.

This year has stretched our capacities as small business owners. We've grown and learned a lot and how to manage 4 extremely labor intensive businesses.

The fertilizer business really started taking off for us, quite by surprise, during March. Here in the north woods of Wisconsin, March is still winter, although as greenhouse owners for us it is a busy time growing and getting ready for spring. But I suppose people are thinking spring and by April we had sold more fertilizer in one and a half months than the entire previous year. It was a challenge to manage the constant care of hundreds of thousands of baby plants and try to mix enough fertilizer to fill the orders that were coming in. But with great employees and a willing family, we were able to get all the work done and happily fall into bed every night exhausted but happy for the workload.

We are extremely thankful for you, our customers. Our little fertilizer business could never have grown by leaps and bounds if it wasn't for your loyalty and your word of mouth.
